Applause Home Care was proud to support two wonderful Bergen Volunteers events in May.

First, we celebrated the Bergen LEADS graduation at the Bergen County Law and Public Safety Institute. Our CEO, Jim Prussak, is a proud member of the Class of 2021, making this event especially meaningful. Each graduating cohort delivered impressive presentations highlighting what they learned throughout the intensive 10-month leadership program. They now join more than 400 Bergen LEADS alumni who are making a lasting impact by helping strengthen our community.

Later in the month, we joined the fun at the Paddles & Prosecco fundraiser at Passion Pickleball in Midland Park. The matches were competitive, the atmosphere was fantastic, and, most importantly, the event raised funds to support the many valuable programs and services Bergen Volunteers provides throughout the community.

Jim Prussak

CEO at Applause Home Care

During the latter part of his successful 25-year career in control functions within the financial services industry, he volunteered in to assist elders in the community. The satisfaction and CARE that Jim RECEIVED from helping others in the “encore” of their lives helped him to learn about CARE PARTNERING not just “care giving”. These experiences also made Jim reconsider what he wanted to do with the rest of his career and life. Jim holds a BS Degree from New York University in Accounting and Finance and an MBA from Fordham University. He is also a Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide by the NJ Board of Nursing and a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
